Method:
- Heat ghee or oil in a large pan or pressure cooker. Add the whole spices - bay leaf, cloves, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, and cumin seeds. Saute until fragrant.

- Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute until the raw smell disappears.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
